The Mother Summit is hosted by an empowered team of women, Including founder, Blessing Adesiyan. This First Annual Event overdelivered with pampering, pep talks, delicious local catering and dancing in between professional discussions.

DryBar offered a braid bar making mamas feel chic and ready to mingle! The Color Box (a Luxury nail service) also offered manis to match those fashionable braids!

The Summit was peppered with SO many Michigan-Made goodies including freshly-pressed juice by Drought, Coffee and Teas by Zingerman’s Coffee Company, lunch catered with fresh & light wraps/sides by Plum Market, Detroit swag bags and uplifting Motherhood Reminders!

3.) The (professional) photo opps and group shots

I LOVED THIS! For those mamas interested in stepping up their social media feed with a professional profile picture, here’s your chance!

A local Detroit photographer took headshots and proofs were emailed shortly after!

Looking to be silly with fellow mamas? Photo Booths had you covered! Take photos or do a boomerrang video – AND it’s emailed or texted to your phone instantly!

4.) Mingling with local professional mompreneurs

I’d like to take a moment and RAVE about the Q&A fireside chats with the mompreneur panel!

They talk about the struggles of sustaining their goals, their personal journeys and how you can reach your goals too! From health, beauty, to finance and political professionals, these mamas provide tools and resources that have helped pave their paths!

There were also local small businesses greeting you upon entry! Businesses like Future is Female, Rebel Nell, Ilera Apothecary, Ferne Boutique, and many more shared some of the cutest Michigan-made products around! take a look…

5.)The stunning backdrops and invaluable connections

The Madison Building has some of the best views of downtown Detroit. the venue does have rooftop seating (and yoga was available early before the summit began) and is a wonderful place to admire the panoramic scenes of historic downtown. (Parking was also complimentary by a select sponsor)
